What does Saju mean?
Saju means Four Pillars: the year, month, day, and hour of birth. This Korean divination tradition interprets those pillars through a symbolic system of stems, branches, and five elements.
Is my zodiac animal my whole chart?
No. The twelve-year animal cycle describes the year branch. Saju also considers the month, day, and hour, so people born in the same year can have different charts. Early-year birthdays can also fall near a year boundary.
How is it different from a personality quiz?
Questionnaire-based personality tools ask you to describe yourself. Saju starts with birth details. Saju Lab offers five modern archetypes inspired by this tradition; they are our interpretation, not a scientific personality assessment.
How is it different from Western astrology?
Both interpret birth information symbolically. Western natal astrology uses planetary positions; Saju uses calendar-based pillars and five elements. Our reading introduces the Korean Saju approach.
Do I need my exact birth time?
No. Choose I don't know when entering your birth details. We will use the year, month, and day pillars and leave out the hour pillar. A time-unknown reading has less information.
Can I use it if I was born outside Korea?
Yes. Search for your birth city worldwide and choose it from the results. For small towns, choose the nearest larger city. Use your local birth date and time; we apply the time zone and daylight saving rules for that date. City coordinates approximate your birthplace.
What is free?
Your personality archetype, chart display, and downloadable card are free without an account. Love, Career, and Money are optional one-time unlocks at $1 each, or $2.49 together.
Will it predict my future?
Treat this as a cultural lens for self-reflection, not a factual prediction or diagnosis. You decide which ideas feel useful. A daily zodiac post is a broad reflection, not an individual Four Pillars reading.
